About PhD EDITS 2023
PhD EDITS -2023 aims to bring together highly motivated community of like minded PhD scholars to exchange their innovative ideas by providing an opportunity to present their work in all areas of Electronics, Communication and Computer Science with their peers and mentors who are experts from industry and academia. The colloquium is sponsored and technically supported by IEEE Bangalore Section and IEEE ComSoc Bangalore Chapter, IEEE Young Professional and Women in Engineering. Participating scholars will get an opportunity for one-to -one interaction with experts that can help strengthening and shaping their research as they progress towards their PhD degree.

The colloquium is sponsored and technically supported by IEEE Bangalore Section and IEEE ComSoc Bangalore Chapter, IEEE Young Professional and Women in Engineering. Participating scholars will get an opportunity for one-to -one interaction with experts that can help strengthening and shaping their research as they progress towards their PhD degree. The IEEE PhD Colloquium on Ethically Driven Innovation and Technology for Society (PhD EDITS 2019) was held at Amrita School of Engineering, Bangalore on 18th August 2019. The colloquium was an initiative by a group of scholars from different institutions, mentored by experts, to accenture the need for research outreach to a wider scientific community and to the society at large. This program aimed at bringing PhD scholars and subject experts from Academia and Industry in an unified forum. The forum provided scholars a unique opportunity to present their research findings and ideas on all aspects of ICT related domains to matter experts. Research scholars received valuable feedback and suggestions from the panel experts to shape their way towards PhD and research.
This event was IEEE approved and was technically supported by IEEE ComSoc, Bangalore section. PhD EDITS -2019 was financially supported by IEEE Young Professionals, Qualcomm Pvt. Ltd. Bangalore and Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR). The event was also technically supported by IEEE Women in Engineering, Consumer Electronics Society, Bangalore and Robotics and Automation Society, Bangalore.
For this colloquium extended abstracts and posters were called from PhD scholars in ICT related domains driven by ethics for sustainable development of society. IEEE PhD EDITS received 46 extended abstracts and 9 posters out of which 14 extended abstracts and 3 posters were accepted to the main technical program. The acceptance rate is around 30%, reflecting the quality maintained by colloquium organizers. These selected papers and posters were presented by respective authors in lieu of getting comments from expert panel members invited from Industries and Academia. Total 21 panel members were invited from Industry and Academia. Among these, 9 panellists were from renowned industries like Intel, Qualcomm, IBM, Radisys, Cientra, C-DoT, MMRFIC, Reliance Jio and Ericsson. Among the participants, 48 were IEEE members and remaining were non-IEEE members.
